Ep. 25 | Matthew “Griff” Griffin – Military Veteran, Entrepreneur & Author | JMI SBL Conference 2021
United States Military Academy graduate Matthew “Griff” Griffin joined Small Biz Florida host Tom Kindred and Indian River State College Business School Professor Dr. Herbert Ricardo to discuss Combat Flip Flops and his mission of Doing Well to Do Good.
After graduating from the United States Military Academy in 2001, Griff accepted a commission into Field Artillery. Between 2003-2005, he deployed four times to Iraq and Afghanistan with 2d Ranger Battalion as a Company Fire Support Officer. After departing the military in 2006, he worked in the defense sector which eventually led him back to Afghanistan to assist with medical infrastructure development.
After witnessing the positive effects of economic growth in conflict areas, Griff co-founded Combat Flip Flops with a fellow Ranger and began the mission to manufacture peace through trade. He was recognized in 2017 as one of the top 100 Most Influential Veterans in America and in 2018 as a top 100 Global Visionary.
